Visual artifacts noticed in ActivityExample, Position Path Activity Example #215

Noticed in 1.3 and during testing for 1.3.1-rc, on Mac OS X. 

The animations leave behind lines that don't erase. In the latter example, it 
took a little while to show and zooming seem to exacerbate it.

Not intending a fix for 1.3.1, but future.
