It's a pleasure to know that somebody uses this. Unfortunately, I don't have any plans on supporting the plugin. It was developed for my former employer and I no longer have access to any Splunk instances.
I can think of two things that you can try:
- Run 2to3 tool to try to automatically upgrade the code to Python3
- Read through Splunk's update changelog and try to find something about Plugin API incompatible changes. The plugin also relies on a couple of paths to be present, however, they might also have changed
We are using export to excel app on splunk 7.2.4.2 version which is working fine. after we upgraded splunk version to 8.1.2 - the app is not working and giving attached error when clicked on export button. the app is using python 2.7 version but splunk 8.1.2 version comes with python 3 version.

Please look into it. it will help us.
