Cannot Send Coins #265

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Enter "Pay to" Bitcoin address (my Mac wallet address)
2. Enter the amount to send (mobile, 0.00013733 test transaction)
3. Press "Send"
4. Receive error message "Problem sending coins!"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I expected it to send the coins, obviously. Instead, it tells me there was a
problem sending the coins - I've tried using a great Wi-Fi connection and a
great mobile service connection.

What version of Bitcoin Wallet are you using? On what Android version and
what phone? Don't just state 'most recent', this is not enough info.

Bitcoin Wallet: 3.28
Android Version: 4.3
Phone: Samsung Galaxy S4 (SGH-M919 on T-Mobile)

If you have problems with particular transactions, what is your Bitcoin
address? If you happen to have transaction IDs, please state them as well.

Please provide any additional information below.
I've tried on numerous occasions, in numerous places, on numerous connection
types. None of them have ever worked. I've also tried using multiple sending
addresses on different platforms.

You're trying to send too small a value. The minimum value is 0.0001 BTC + the
Bitcoin transaction fee, which is another 0.0001 BTC minimum.

If you're trying to send your whole balance, use the send coins "empty wallet"
option.

Thank you. I finally got it to send after I got enough.

I do have an issue with my computer's Mac wallet. It's been syncing for
over a week (minus maybe 2 hours each day).

Should I still wait for restart? The problem with it is that the money I
just sent from my Android wallet is going to my Mac wallet and if I start
from scratch, it will give me a new address, right?

I suggest asking this question at the support/forum for the wallet application
you're using on your Mac. Generally I'd say you need to wait until your wallet
is caught up with the blockchain.
