That article suggests that gas ovens can't be installed under a countertop. However, one of the comments claims to have called American Range and was told that it only needs to be 3" from the floor and is rated for under-counter use. Need to call and check on that.

No fancy controls, larger interior, spec sheet says needs 10" vertical clearance on the bottom, very expensive
Decided to go with a freestanding range instead of a wall oven
Can a regular wall oven be mounted underneath a cooktop? Or does it need to be somewhere else?
So far I'm not seeing any wall-ovens that are both gas and the right height. It looks like the necessary form factor may only come in electric.
