Can't connect to Emulated Hyperdeck - Onair Video Express #110

Open BBYStudios opened 9 months ago

BBYStudios commented 9 months ago

We were on version 2 of Bitfocus Companion and moved to version 3 for some fixes with other devices we have. We have On Air video Express running on a Mac Mini, with emulation turned on

Screenshot 2023-12-18 at 2 40 43 PM

We are connecting to it with this Hyperdeck module and are not getting this error in the log ` Starting up module class: Sentry disabled Module-host accepted registration debug: Slot Status Changed debug: Transport Status Changed error: node:internal/process/promises:288 triggerUncaughtException(err, true / fromPromise /); ^

[UnhandledPromiseRejection: This error originated either by throwing inside of an async function without a catch block, or by rejecting a promise which was not handled with .catch(). The promise rejected with the reason "undefined".] { code: 'ERR_UNHANDLED_REJECTION' }

Node.js v18.17.1 ` Not sure why this is, I can connect to the emulated device with telnet just fine. Please let me know if you need more specific Information, I would be happy to hunt it down. ~Ben

What version of companion are you using? The module had some large changes for 3.2 (the betas) that might help here, or might be the cause.

We're running 3.1.2-6243. We just had that finish going through our review process before being installed. We can update, but not to beta versions, Only release version are approved by our security department. ~Ben

Has anyone found a workaround for this? I just updated from 2.4.2 to 3.2.1 and I am seeing this problem.

module-log-5_6_2024-10_44_57 AM.csv This is the latest log of the issue from Beta 3.3.0

We really need this back, I would hate to roll back as the latest version fixed so many other issues.
