The provided documentation mentions both a web GUI and RS-232 commands, but it also mentions that it possible to set the telnet port within the GUI and also via serial.

So perhaps this device can be controlled via telnet, which would make it rather easy.

Do some testing to confirm this, please.

I can see telnet references in the settings If it uses the same commands over telnet as serial then it would be very simple for me to adapt the other matrix module I already have in testing. All these switches seem to have custom commands to achieve the same ends!

Hey guys I'm finally coming around to needing this module. I've tested the Telnet commands and they are identical to the RS232 commands.

I am new to companion and this whole community, and I am trying to learn how to set op commands. I have an OREI Matrix, how do I go about using this module? Thank you,

Download a recent beta build and search for orei.

You need to set up the ip adress for the unit and number of output (4 or 8). There are commands to select the input, switch the outputs and enable/disable HDMI, Cat connections and mute.
