It seems like all of the important bits would have already been figured out via the Cloud functionality - like cloud icon on a button, actions pressing/releasing a button via target (1/0/1
) and feedbacks on a button... wondering what it would take to just modify the existing Companion Cloud module to point to a local resource? For those of us who don't need the Cloud per se.
The name of the device, hardware, or software you would like to control:
Bitfocus Companion
What you would like to be able to make it do from Companion:
As described in https://github.com/bitfocus/companion/issues/3158# I'd like to trigger remote Companion buttons from a different Companion instance.
Also kind of the same question as #304 which was closed because it got covered by Companion Cloud. Companion Satellite doesn't cover this as Satellite takes over the entire remote configuration file. Companion Cloud does this, but requires internet connectivity, which might be undesirable in some production setups.

Direct links or attachments to the ethernet control protocol or API: I guess you guys have a better understanding of the Companion API than I do :).
