Bitfocus Companion enables the reasonably priced Elgato Stream Deck and other controllers to be a professional shotbox surface for an increasing amount of different presentation switchers, video playback software and broadcast equipment.
I have a Stream Deck that I use to control my digital patchbay (CB Electronics XPatch32). Somehow this works just fine without even installing the Stream Deck Software or Companion. However, I would like to purchase a second StreamDeck to have a control surface for my DAW (Presonus Studio One). The problem that I am facing is, that as soon as Companion or the origninal StreamDeck Software is started, it detects my StreamDeck device that I use for my patchbay and it automatically connects to it, so I can no longer use this device for controlling my patchbay. There seems to be no solution inside of the StreamDeck Software, but I thought maybe I can tackle this problem with Companion by telling it not to connect to this particular device, but only to the second Stream Deck device that I actually want to use to control my DAW via Companion. Is there a way to achieve this behavior? Thanks a lot!
