Hi!

Thanks for creating this project, I'm eager to try it out! Found it via your HN post recently.

I have a fresh 13.3 Waveshare display and have connected it appropriately.

After building, I ran rabbitink but it complained about missing permissions, so I ran it with sudo. It complained about a missing XDG_RUNTIME_DIR so I ran with sudo -E:

$ sudo -E ./target/release/rabbitink --vcom "2.30"

nothing happens. Shouldn't I be seeing my screen mirrored?

OS: Manjaro Linux (Arch-based) kernel 6.1

This is the first epaper integration software I am using after buying. I have also looked at Waveshare's wiki to get a POC first, but their instructions and the IT8951 driver are only for Windows and Rasperry Pi, so I have stopped there for now. I'm sorry you are my go-to person now, as it's very well possible I did something wrong myself. But I'd be glad if I could get rabbitink to run!

huh. right after creating this issue and after re-attaching things for the 10th time it worked. No idea why. So please ignore this issue, sorry!

edit: yeah the cable was inserted upside down all the time...
