Another Build question? #117

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
Hi,

I've managed to compile a successful build (mostly). I'm not interested in
creating a complete image, but I am interested in modifying and testing
different libraries.

Here is my confusion. I ran the make.sh script and set it up for SPARK, then
chose eplayer etc... I managed to get it all compiled with enigma2-pli-nightly
. I made no code changes.

I assumed if I took the newly compiled libeplayer.so.0.0.0 I could just stick
it on my sti7111 spark box that has the latest ARP image it would work. It
would appear not.

If I run the strings command on my compiled library it looks a lot different
than the one in the ARP image on my box.

What am I doing wrong? It wouldn't appear that the library compiled for the
sti7111 arch, but I'm not sure what I am missing???

my bad - I was looking in the cdkroot folder - should have been pkgroot or
releases.

The file size looks about right now compared with the one on my box .

==========================================

It compiles everything to the end without error and copies everything to the
release folder.

When I run the flash tool for spark, this creates me uImage and e2jffs2.img .

I flash the box, which works. It boots, I get the Open_ARP logo with cogs
showing something is happening, then the screen keeps flashing on and off and
the LCD scrolls with the Open-ARP - Enigma2 text , and thats it. I don't see
anything else???

I can telnet to it, so thats all working.

Anyone know where I can go from here to troubleshoot??

I started from scratch and chose the following from make.sh :

6) AR-P - E2 OpenPli branch testing

Then my builds worked just fine.

I am trying to find a solution for mp4 video with aac audio now.... this
appears to be broken. it worked in the last release.
