8-bit and/or 24-bit color #157

Feature request - being able to edit 8-bit and/or 24-bit-color ANSIs.

I've been using the "Convert Images to Ansi-art" tool on manytools, and liked how well many of the pictures turned out with greater amounts of color, and I'd like to be able to make my BBS over with those sorts of images, but I'm not aware of any tools for making them, beyond just using a text editor.

I know this is probably a bigger ask, since you'd have to have some way to pick colors. It's also not something in PabloDraw.

So, while I know my request is unlikely to be picked up, I've enjoyed using Moebius and wanted to mention it in case it's something people would consider in the future.

I would like to second this request. I haven't been able to find a true color editor, but this editor is very, VERY close to what I want it to be.

Pablo draw supports 24bit ANSI since version 3.2 (2014). Try the arrows under the color swatches, they're probably easy to miss.

Just learned of the program; would love 8-bit color support.

I tried 24 bit colour with pablo but it seems to save it in a format that isn't recognised as a colour code for the terminal to see, and displays what I guess is the closest equivalent in the standard 16 colour palette. If moebius could handle 8-bit and 24-bit colours, it would make me super happy also, especially if it saved the ansi codes in the format that my terminals (syncterm/netrunner/gnome-terminal/etc) can use. (I could of course be doing something very wrong in the ansi for it not to work in all the terminals, I haven't ruled that out yet 😅)
