My Account Doesn't Show Up In Searches and My Posts Don't Come Up In Hashtag Threads?

Steps to Reproduce

Go to the search bar
Search for "DailyHaikai"
You will see that it does not come up
Also try tagging me by using @dailyhaikai and it also doesn't show up?
Furthermore my posts are also not showing up in hashtags threads - I post haiku poems using the hashtag #haiku but none of my posts are visible there?
I have had other users try to find me, and they cannot, nor can they tag me?

MacBook Air and Iphone

What version of the app are you using?

Desktop, so I assume it's whatever the most recent is

I've seen this happening before, but only for quite old accounts:

Obviously that wouldn't apply in your case as I can see that you created your account 2 days ago. Do you mind me asking how you created your account? Was it using the Bluesky app/website, using another app or via the API?

Try to delete your first name from your profile info page and see if it helps :-)

Yeah - have tried that, and I have my name in my profile info on my other account and it doesn't effect that one at all? Have changed now anyway - just in case. But still unsearchable :-(

Not at all :-) I created it on my desktop, using a MacBookAir, while signed into my other account on the BlueSky website, Forgotten Poets, and then went to "switch accounts" and selected "Add Another Account" - and went from there. I think I made a different handle at first and then changed it? But can't remember. But yeah, right from the outset it has not been searchable, and unless I repost my posts from my other account with a comment, they aren't visible in any hashtag threads. My posts do show up in follower feeds though, just not in anything using the search function. :-/ Hope that helps. Have tried changing my display name, as was recommended in that thread, just in case that works?

Well, I actually followed you and reposted etc after searching for your account while investigating this issue, and I liked the posts I saw :)

Given that you created the account via the website, it doesn't seem like not having a profile record (the reason discussed in the thread I linked) is likely to be the cause, so it looks like it must be something else.

I'll post about it and tag some devs (and you ofc) and hopefully one of them will see it, can look into what's going on and get it fixed for you 🤞
