also, you can take a page out of ohmyzsh at some point and do the Y/n option when running an out of date bootdev
pros
- helps keep everyone up to date
- you can force version updates if there is a change that is required
cons
- can be annoying if you don't want to update (but rly? it takes literal 2 seconds)
