Brave browser does not clear data when the computer is shut down

Description

Brave browser has a feature that removes all cookies, history, cache, and other data when the browser application is closed. However, I encountered an issue where this feature does not work if the computer is shut down (e.g., due to a power outage, system crash or even shut down the computer without closing Brave).

Steps to reproduce

1. Open Brave browser and browse the internet.
2. Ensure that the setting to clear data on exit is enabled.
3. Shut down the computer unexpectedly (e.g., power outage, forced shutdown).
4. Restart the computer and open Brave browser.

Actual result

All sessions, cookies, and other data are still stored in Brave browser after restarting the computer.

Expected result

All sessions, cookies, history, cache, and other data should be removed when the computer is shut down unexpectedly, similar to when the browser is closed normally.

Hi @adriamontoto. We have a feature here brave://settings/getStarted On startup, continue where you left off. With that setting, you're going to go back to revisiting the pages where you left off. That setting may conflict bit with clear data on exit.

Can you let us know if that's the case first and maybe select: "On startup, open the new tab page" before we investigate any further.

@rebron Sorry for not replying earlier, I have verified the configuration and it was already configured to 'Open the new tab page'.
