Crag guide not showing all routes #174

Due to default parameter restrictions some crag guides are not showing all routes. For example Arapiles:

This is in there so as not to generate an overly large file which took a long time to build. I've just made a change in the development database to allow the parameter to be changed (use "A:stopCount=2000" (or -1, for no limit) in the crag guide url).

We need to decide on what our default behavior is for large Crag Guides should be. I'm in two minds, just give them the whole lot as we are now processing much quicker. However this may lead to very large files causing havoc for some browsers on low end (or old) machines (eg Arapiles 2000+ routes, Grampians 5000+ routes).

In some ways I like the default the way it is with some clear links showing them how to generate a full guide and maybe even a bouldering version of the crag guide. For example:

I think for area's like grampians etc it's conceivable that they are just interested in the 'Summerday Valley' crag. Ie if a crag has sub crag's then treat it more like an area than a crag and they can navigate down into it.

On the flip side I think the cut off could be a bit higher than 300.

Here is the top N crags by size in Aus:

Blue Mountains 3698 Arapiles 2281 Nowra 1242 Townsville 908 Buffalo 759 Moonarie 602 Glasshouse 565 Coles Bay 563 North West 561 The You Yangs 554 Point Perpendicular 527 Sutherland 507 Gara Gorge 503

Only the top 3 are above 1000 and most of the top ten I'd consider as not really one crag - eg I'd climb in 'blackheath' instead of blueys, or Tibrogargan instead of the glasshouse mountains, thompson's point instead of nowra.

So based on this I reckon around 600 as a limit would capture just about all of the crags that are a single crag without blowing out anyones browsers. Simon is it worth doing a similar crunch with numbers from crags overseas?

I've changed to 600. I think Aus is a great sample space to number crunch, and we understand Aus crags, but not so much overseas crags. So I don't think there is much point doing further number crunching at this stage.
