I want to confirm the status of this software, before I make any further contributions.

You'd have to ask @briano1905. I've reached out WRT collaboration privileges for the repo before with no response. At the moment they are the only person able to merge PRs.

Alright, just curious because the last commit and merged PR was back in 2020. This is a great software and I would hate to see it die out.

I think this project is dead. Author is not active anymore, as his website is 404-ing. No contributions in the last few years. I would love to continue maintaining this project in my free time, but I need to take a closer look at it.

May be best to look there.

Oh, Miodec contributed to typings? Cool, didn't know that. It's probably best to keep typings as it is for now.
