User's front page => Displaying Bio - only 1 line #57

When Enable default front page for user profiles option is checked, Bio section is displayed. But it doesn't respect new lines. If you enter in Biographical Info on /wp-admin/profile.php a miltiline text - it will be displayed in 1 line on BuddyPress profile page.

i guess it needs a nl2br thing :) Will check it asap. Thanks for your feedback.

This is a WP core issue and needs fixing there not in a theme surely?

I see why we would want to though.

If I as a user think the bio textarea works like others and I add double line returns it render with multiple
tags, br tags are not great either really where we should be rendering paragraphs.

Good point @hnla I'll see how i can improve this. There's probably a formatting function for posts we could use here.

Yep thats the one :) Tried wpautop earlier but wasn't running it as a filter.

All looks good: links convert, smilies smile, paragraphs are rendered on the double line feed.
