Looks good to me now. Thanks for working on this!

Please squash the all fixup commits into the first one.

I sadly don't have time to test this myself today, so I will have to wait with merging this until tomorrow evening.

Alright, thanks for bearing with me, and sorry for being slow to respond. I'm mostly happy with the code at this point, everything seems to work as I want it, and I got just a few last nitpicks before we can go ahead and merge this.
