I am not proud of the delay, but "ddcutil getvcp" will fail if called to soon after "ddcutil setvcp".

Hi, Thanks for this PR ;)

I trust you on this. I am not able to make ddcutil work currently (on my dev desktop and on my rpi5)

I have Invalid display and DDC communication failed errors We will adjust if necessary in the future.
