I've got an update for my Echo Dot Gen. 2 with version number 669702920... all devices are correctly listed in the HA bridge GUI...

Does somebody have the same issue?

jayjupdhig commented 3 years ago

Same problem with Echo Dot Gen. 3 with updated SW version number 5738697860... same problem - all devices are correctly listed in the HA bridge GUI.

jayjupdhig commented 3 years ago

Please tell me what debug infomations i have to post here. THanks in advance.

Mine stopped working yesterday after an echo software update, but I've just unplugged all my echos, restarted habridge then plugged in my echos - now everything is working again.

guytpetj commented 3 years ago

Stopped working with 5.4.1, 5.4.0, 5.3.0 It seems that Amazon latest update broke something

jayjupdhig commented 3 years ago

Thank you for your feedbacks.

"Mine stopped working yesterday after an echo software update, but I've just unplugged all my echos, restarted habridge then plugged in my echos - now everything is working again."

I had a fresh installation of our home automation software, firstly i've done a full hardware reset on echo devices (WLAN SSID deleted etc.) then i started the update process by saying "Alexa, search for software updates"... both devices Gen. 2 and Gen. 3 have got an update then...

HA Brige is configured as ever before in our smart home software... so there was NO changes from our side.

@HA-Bridge team: Plese tell me the logs (log level, debug or trace?) i have to deliver so you can fix that issue. Thanks.

"Stopped working with 5.4.1, 5.4.0, 5.3.0"

That version was also broken with the firmware version before update; the only one solution for me was to use the RC version that creates IDs with 9 instead of 8 octets.

guytpetj commented 3 years ago

Yes, going back to a RC fixed the problem

How can i go BACK to the LATEST (=RC) version? Don't understand...

guytpetj commented 3 years ago

I always keep the last 5 version changes I applied on my hdd. It's as simple as copying and renaming an older jar file.

Oh - thank you very much, will try that ASAP.

Best regards, Jan

jayjupdhig commented 3 years ago

If you are gone back to smaller versions than the "RC" one - so it's compatible (only) to the 8-octet version again?

Maybe i can also disable the 9-octet-feature in the "RC" version - has somebody tried that?

THank you very much for your feedbacks... :-)

´If you are gone back to smaller versions than the "RC" one - so it's compatible (only) to the 8-octet version again?´

Are now BOTH possible: 8 AND 9 octets?

Don't understand...

jayjupdhig commented 2 years ago

Now it seems to work again... it seems, it was a problem on the Amazon server/cloud infrastructure...?
