I run the ha-bridge on the RPI4 but not in docker and there are no issues with that. I do not maintain the docker setups as that is someone else at: https://github.com/aptalca/docker-ha-bridge. Also, there is a build for Java11 that can be donwloaded: https://github.com/bwssytems/ha-bridge/releases/download/v5.4.1/ha-bridge-5.4.1-java11.jar.
Since HA Bridge is satisfying most peoples needs, I am not adding new functionality. When it totally breaks, I will need to re-assess if it is worth it as I believe Home Assistant works with the Echo as well and has most of the functionality that is in HA Bridge.
I will say that the Home Assistant Echo integration does not work as solid as the HA Bridge. Half the time it will timeout, but with HA Bridge, all of my echo woes have gone away.

Ah this assumes all devices are hosted within Home Assistant and using Nabu Casa,
I use a combo of Legacy Devices inc 433Mhz / IR / Harmony with Various Python / Bash Scripting for Hardware API control (inc but not limited to Yamaha + Squeezebox starting with Home Assistant + Hue bridge thru to HA Bridge > Domoticz .
The granularity of scripting with Python/Bash control for variable actions can't be simply replicated in Home Assistant as easily with HA Bridge + Domoticz..
A Button Press automation (triggered by 433Mhz or Zigbee) in Home Assistant triggers a HA Bridge action that in turn triggers a Domoticz Button action, that triggers a Bash/Python Script to start a Yamaha receiver, switch to the right scene, set the volume and begin a random rotating playlist on a LMS + Squeezbox touch, press the button again and it starts the next playlist/album and so on. That kind of functionality is impossible frankly by voice command or Button presses and Home assistant alone. (well the custom python scripting is pretty much fubar on HAOS.) so has to be Ubuntu / Debian Server on the RPI....
Edit:before anyone asks it also can be triggered by a wall mounted 433Mhz mood switch (siemens) on the RF433 directly to Domoticz. The key part is redundancy/resilience for the same joy, avoids having to burst the laptop out to trigger events. My biggest issue to date, is Home Assistant - HA Bridge somehow loosing connectivity. Same as the previous poster, not especially stable.
Home assistant is all fur coat and no knickers compared to habridge.
habridge is the backbone of my home automation system running with Alexa.
I can do almost anything with habridge.
habridge delivers and is just waiting for a challenge... whereas home assistant just looks great but does little.
Dear author of habridge. You have fundamentally made my life easier as a disabled person, I can turn on and off computers I can launch programs I can control ALL the TV functions. Using habridge I can control iTunes on my windows 10 box (play/stop/pause/next/prev) via Alexa from habridge.
I dread the day it stops working and development ends.
Thank you so much for giving the world habridge

Hi, just wonder if there are any plans to refresh HA Bridge for RPI4/Docker for later Java and later 5/6 Kernels. Although still functional , I'm getting 100% on a RPI4/8Gb with Ubuntu 22.04.3 ....if its no longer being actively developed.. Should I discontinue HA Bridge use and move to something that is being actively developed... Sorry to ask ...but HA Bridge has served me proud since the RPI2 so wonder what the future holds. Cheers Shaz
