Also, I have had issues where it won't load for sometime, while this issue is happening, you should try using a different app.

This can also just be a issue for the specific kiosk app, some apps are setup very strictly and some are not. What kiosk app was it you tried it on? I use the MasteryConnect kiosk app myself.

I used nwea secure testing and it worked perfectly before but now it doesn’t work. I do all the steps correctly and everything is still there but when I click on Wi-Fi and then open in settings nothing shows up.

This just now happened to me, do not log out or update!

This is just now happening to me on version v119.0.6045.212. Attempted a powerwash and everything but didn't work. For NEWA Secure Testing, it hasn't updated since 2021, so it isn't the app updating or a app problem. Here are my steps for activating just in case I did it wrong.

1. Turn off WiFi
2. Click the kiosk app and then hit Alt+Shift+s right after
3. After loading, click Accessibility and then click the question mark button on the top
4. Click on Diagnose
5. Click on Add another WiFi Network
6. After everything loads and settles, click on WiFi and hit open settings

If step 3 doesn't work:

• Click Accessibility and then click the question mark button on the top quickly when the screen says "Waiting for Network Connection"
• Sometimes, this takes multiple attempts if the toolbar disappears off screen

If step 6 doesn't work:

7. Press Ctrl+Alt+z (this will make a noise)
8. Hold the Search key, then hit o then t
9. Use the mouse to click Resources then click on any of the links on that page

I notice it is some sort of patch that de-focuses the new chrome window infinitely. When the diagnosis window is up, repetitively click "Open in settings", then when in the OS settings, go back and click any link repetitively. The chrome window appears, but goes away right after

Yeah, this is a patch, 119 for SKIOVOX. I used one of my friend's lenevo chromebook from a strict school (His chromeos is 119 & note: he can't do 2A Method, cause no back button) I tried 2B and it just closes the window immediatly. i tried on multiple kiosk apps, it's the same thing!. I wanted to do 2C, but admins are smart and disabled it for all of his kiosk apps.

Luckily for me it still works on my chromebook... (i freaking hooked up my school chromebook to a moniter, with skiovox while typing this. dont have a pc yet..)

Yeah as long as the laptop doesn't die or turn off, it should be fine. My friend's laptop is rolling fine in sleep mode when he isn't using it. Respect your setup @Su4o, wish you the best until you get your computer.

Also you definitely should use Xbox Cloud Gaming on it lol. Fortnite is free to play on it without gamepass ultimate and works well on home networks.

Yes you can, just do not update your chromebook

I don't have a back button, so when I use step 2B, what happens is that the browser window gets immediately closed and the ChromeOS Accessbility Help page isn't there either.

For 2C, it simply does nothing when the keyboard shortcut is pressed.

I've tried many times, any information would be SO helpful 🙏 🥲

2B, back button? Try the 2B method. The 2B method is where you click the diagnostic button, not the back button. @tuta-amb. The back button is 2A

I dont know if this helps with skiovox or anything, but you can use the feedback button in the steps of skiovox by pressing the power off button (if you have one.)

Here's what I found

• You can use the Metrics link (If you press the question mark. The only problem is that you can only see the window open, you can't actually click on the window, because you have the diagnostic window. If you try closing the diagnostic window, it doesn't because it "pops" the window behind the metric one)

• You can use the System info Link (If you press the question mark. • You can't use the Privacy Policy Link

• You can't use the Terms of Service Link.

@Su4o @bypassiwastaken The exploit used in the pdf is in fact patched as we all know by now but there is a new method that I've found and it works the same but there is a couple more steps heres how you do it (I'm on the LATEST Chrome os update btw):

If you find that u don't have sign in as existing user button when u are on step 7, do this: When you are at the normal sign in screen, turn off wifi, see if u have sign in as existing user there, if u do, click it, then continue to do the method:

1. Sign out of your chromebook.

2.Turn off your wifi

3.Click one of the apps

4.As you click one of the apps, press alt+shift+s as fast as possible

5.This should open the tool bar, wait until the No wifi screen show up.

6.click the screen brightness settings in the tool bar and click settings(the cog) nothing should happen(tool bar will be closed) and thats normal.

7.open chrome vox(ctrl+alt+z) then click resources (Like open the menu which has the links like the Search TO method from the old methods), then click on one of the links. Now close chrome vox (same keybinds).

8. Click sign in as existing user put in your school account code and password. (Normal school login.)

If you did it successfully, you should be signed in to school account in the kiosk app and you should see something saying "muti user sign in disabled on this chromebook" just press the ESC button.

You should see your school account browser there just close it, you should also see a setting menu somewhere, just try to turn on wifi then close that window. The last window is the fully unblocked one. You can also open incognito, DO NOT because it is still monitored to your school account so don't use that. Something you need to do it click the three dots and open "New Window" this will allow windows to be opened so you can install skiviox. This should be your primary window.

So for 6 you should go to the "Chrome Vox Tutorial Page" after opening chrome vox , which has multiple links click the first one (Any of them should work but I used the first one.) Then you should be back on the no wifi screen (turn off chromevox).
