Aural User Interface #3

What can be done in the audio, to give "flavor" or context to hypertext?

For example: When hearing a wikipedia article read aloud, only the text is heard. The listener loses all of the information related to the hypertext.

This is desired in some situations. You don't want to worry about clicking a link when reading a book, and so listening to an audiobook should be similar.

But can added audio information train a user to understanding added context, on a word by word basis?

Feature Proposal

Audio is backed by a mild white noise. When a hypertext link is read aloud, the white noise is altered enough to be noticed. Then, the white noise is reverted when the hypertext link is done being read.
