It would be nice to be able to search the DICOM tree view.

Maybe a first alpha version would just expand the tree and highlight the search 
term.

Yes, I think this would be a good feature. It would be necessary to list the 
number of terms found and have previous/next buttons to switch between them, 
similar to how modern web browsers handle "Find in page".

Also it would be worth to not only search the tag name, but also the tag number 
and the value.
