Working generators #1794

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

Currently we have to use vehicle generators with batteries to power up our base. Why make it difficult when we already have (broken) generators?

Describe the solution you'd like

The generators in LMOE shelters should work. Like, why did all the generators become obselete once Cataclysm began?

It would be QoL improvement to have working generators with diesel or gas (whichever is the most realistic), so we could connect the generator to the grid and power up our base without much pain.

Also working generators in electrical goods stores where we can load it to our vehicle and bring / deploy it wherever we want.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Some cities & towns should be powered up with power stations. For example, a power station should spawn next to the city it powers, so by fixing or clearing it, we can restore the electric to the city. I don't know how technically possible it is, but it would be interesting nonetheless.

I'd still like to add this as grid furniture and not just vehicle stuff someday, but still stumped on the code requirements bleh

Wow, I closed this post couple minutes ago after 2 years of no activity and suddenly someone posted a comment, haha.

Maybe one day someone will figure it out. Either here or in CDDA.
