Poison can proc poison. In fact, often u get 2 wounds for 1 shiv.

rep steps : make a rogue, stand in front of someone so u can only attack him with skills but u cant attack him with mele attack. Cast Shiv with Wound Poison.

Shiv is a off-hand ability. If you have woulding poison on offhand, there is a chance to apply 1 + 1 guaranteed. No?

Dusky1 commented 8 years ago

Well It mindfucks me.. But its possible. Need to test it with normal attacks

ghost commented 8 years ago

if you sap the target, and stand behind it looking to the side. then your autoattack cant hit the target, but your abilities can. if you want to know exactly what i mean, go youtube for sap garrote cs opener.

that's how you gotta tilt.

I was testing it like you said. The question is if Shiv can proc 2x poison from 1 attack. Cuz in combat log it was looking like Wound Poison dmg procced next Wound Poison. But in this case it would be even possible to make full stack of wounds with 1 attack. Like chain effect.

EDIT:

Tested it again and you were right. Only Shiv can proc double Poisons. All other melee attacks can proc only 1 poison effect. But im not sure if Shiv should be able to double proc poison. It Needs some research.

I'm pretty sure shiv is the only thing NOT bugged then, see https://github.com/ccshiro/cc-buglist/issues/2065 if cheap shot was able to proc poisons, I'm pretty sure shiv should be able to as well

ghost commented 8 years ago

If you run a poison in your offhand you should be able to double proc double.

Check your combat log and see if it keep sending double poisons EVERY time. If it doesn't i might just have a high proc chance, and especially if you got the assasination spec with increased proc chance.

I'm sure dev are looking into this at some point, now that we provided them with a proper discussion and testing results.
