I had a look at the directory structure of a few mixed C / python projects I know a bit:
numpy, scipy, pyminuit, gammalib
Everyone seems to structure their package differently, in most cases (except pyminuit) too complex for us.
I didn't look at packages yet that are a C library first, with optional python bindings.
Would ROOT be a good example to look at?
To get started I have created some (mostly empty for now) directories.
Feel free to change anything you like for now ...
