Spare strips of material from backboard #19

If new components to the design are needed, there is an opportunity to cut vertical strips out of the backboard without compromising look or functionality, avoiding the first and sixth weeks, which need to be smooth for the sliding action of updating the weeks.

No extra components are needed for now, but we can park this as a tickler for the future.
