Describe the bug

The search freezes after typing the second "t" of start in the search field

To Reproduce

Click on the & and type start in the search field

Platform:

OS: MacOS
Browser: Chrome
Browser Version: Version 131.0.6778.86 (Official Build) (x86_64)

I am able to replicate on Firefox as well.

It appears to be infinite looping inside cutOutHighlightedSnippet(text, length), which was added in 1.8.0 as part of displaying the markdown and citations. cc: @mikecarenzo
