MacFuse may cause a problem with mounting Disk images #215

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
I've installed MacFUSE on two different macbooks, both not having a problem
with mounting Disk images before, now having a problem with mounting them
(no mountable file systems) after the installation of macFUSE. (However
this was not version 0.4.0)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The expected output is the disk images mounting (As they do on a third
computer that does not have MacFUSE installed) - they do not however.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I was using the 0.1.1 release I believe. On OS 10.4.9

Please provide any additional information below.

0.1.1 release of what--MacFUSE? There never was a 0.1.1 release of MacFUSE.

Which exact version of MacFUSE Core did you install, and where did you get the
installer dmg from?

Did you install MacFUSE alone or did you install ntfs-3g too? There were
reports of a problematic ntfs-3g
installer package causing issues with disk image mounting:

Others seemed to have solved this by uninstalling ntfs-3g, including things
that the ntfs-3g default uninstaller
left behind.
