Some Majora's Mask Cutscene's won't display( the ones with the blur-like effects) #6

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.watch title OR
2.equip a mask OR
3.watch the cut scene when link gets turned into a deku

It should show the scene, but there is only black.(Sound effects are still
there) I think it still renders, because CPU usage increases.

Using r35 on Vista Home Premium

GPU:ATI Radeon HD 2400 PRO
CPU:Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E7200 @ 2.53GHz
RAM:3GB

Tried multiple settings from high to low on Directx and OpenGL

Found a workaround. Using Render-to-Texture lets the scenes play without the
blur
effects, and doesn't slow down.

Requires a complete rewrite of framebuffer functions. Not a simple task.

Something i most likely won't be able to do.

Indeed. A completely new OpenGL based plugin with native support for HWFBE
would fix
this.

All the resource materials on the microcodes, blenders and various combine
modes the
Nintendo 64 uses is all there. It just takes time to develop one with modern
APIs and
modern techniques.

Or use Glide64 with glide3x.dll.

This is the 1964 emulator that we are supposed to be talking about though, all
i can recommend is trying the new r73 video plugin. Im not experience in coding
or very familiar with 1964 myself so im afraid i cant be of much help. :(
