Citeproc initialisation exception: TypeError: child.getAttribute is not a function #181

when running ./configure.sh after updating the relevant modules, I'm getting Citeproc initialisation exception: TypeError: child.getAttribute is not a function and from what I can tell, citeproc isn't generating any citations.

@SteveRidout @fbennett -- any ideas how I could troubleshoot this?

(hold off -- apparently running outdated version)

sorry about this -- ran into some trouble on the way, but got it to work after all.
