Add remaining set of Signs and Markings data to the Open Data Portal #7223

What application are you using?

Signs & Markings Operations

Describe the problem. We published a good chunk of SAM data during #2817, this will get the rest taken care of.

We are requesting to add more datasets from Knack to the Open Data Portal to improve the reporting process through PowerBI. We've identified the following data that we would like to include on the Open Data Portal:

Connect these to the jobs/work orders with the work order IDs and SAM job IDs. Susanne has created an excel sheet that identifies the fields we would like included and the description of that field.

How soon do you need this?

Flexible — An extended timeline is OK

Is there anything else we should know?

Not a rushed request! We would like to start working on moving towards this direction sometime in October.

These are all already on AGOL, just want to add them to Socrata and set them up to do the 2x daily updates.

The attached spreadsheet shows the fields we want to include and may involve some renaming. SMB is good with applying the new names consistently in AGOL as well.

Christina says that Johnny might want to make changes to the materials object table, to hold off until all those internal updates are completed. Circle back next SMB Stakeholder discussion.

Christina, Johnny and I discussed specific fields to be removed, added, and renamed. Attached is the updated sheet. smb_specs_materials_updated.xlsx

Materials and specifications provide unit costs. Not needed in the current PowerBI dashboard, but would be a nice to have. There were reports with the past PowerBI dashboard where this was actually needed and Susanne thinks these could be common requests.

Will bring up with SMD during the next sprint review and have them set a priority on it.
