Maven release plugin: update for GIT-usage and deploy to Sonatype-OSS-repo #379

We are using an old version of the release-plugin (2.0-beta-9) which has issues 
with GIT.
Also we probably need to add some configuration for deploy to the 
Sonatype-OSS-repo to go smoothly.
