What is your mission statement or objective for this new chapter?

Goiânia has been gaining attention in the IT space because of the reference in AI from the CEIA-UFG, and because the modernization of the agribusiness. So my mission is make those involved with it, be awareness of the Cloud Native Projects, and how strong the Open Source world is.

Oi @gmtborges! Please pardon my delay in getting to this GitHub issue, as we had KubeCon North America we were preparing for until last week.

Thank you for your interest in starting a Cloud Native chapter in Goiânia, as we do not yet have a chapter there.

I started my Cloud Native journey in Goiânia in 2010 when I started using Linux at the university. Later in 2016 in my first job I met Jenkins and asked my boss to implement a CI/CD for the company, and then I migrated all the company projects to GIT. So I have discovered that I love using Open Source tools to facilitate and automate my work.

In 2017 I went to my first DevOpsDays in Brasilia. And I knew docker, since then I have been working with containers. I helped promote the Docker Birthday and other events in Goiânia.

In 2018 I got my first job as a DevOps Engineer and have done all my work with Open Source tools (Kubernetes, Prometheus, Graylog, Jenkins...).

And still today I have been promoting and teaching Open Source in the DevOps Meetup that occurs monthly since 2019 and in the DevOpsDays Goiania that occurred 3x.

I didn't make any of those events alone, there are wonderful people in Goiânia that loves Open Source too.
