Add data trending #156

Now that we have data processed for a few consecutive years, it would be useful to create a few visualizations showing trends over time.

We have data trends on the Summary page, but they're somewhat limited. It would be nice to get some other ideas for displaying the data we've got. Where are our data visualization people?

coreyar commented 5 years ago

Someone last week mentioned the idea of overlaying demographic data of Davidson County.

I see this thread is a year old. Are you guys still looking for someone to help with some visualizations? I'm interested in helping out. Please let me know.

@kazshak - Yes! We are very active on this right now. The one year gap is because we didn't really understand the value of this project and had to regroup, but we recently reconnected with the Community Partner who started the project and also the history of the project, so I personally am very interested in moving it forward.

It looks like I might have found you on our Slack, so I just reached out to you there in case you want to plan to meetup or have a phone call to strategize about the project's new direction.

I'm closing this as we both have data trending now (spark-lines on the front page) and besides we're making much bigger changes to the UI, pending a few rounds of data analysis.
