When users check-in to a grocery store, if there is a Pantry within walking distance, send a notification to the user about which food items the nearby pantry needs #37

I understand this is a much-further-down-the-road idea, but I figured the idea would do more good here than it will do in my head. So, here's a thought:

An interface to Foursquare, Facebook, and other check-in services could be developed such that when a user of those services, who has installed the Pantry Pickup app as part of the other webservice, checks in to a grocery store, supermarket, or other food-buying venue, they would be alerted to the food needs of pantries within some (walking?) distance to their check-in location.

Yah, cool. We've been considering FB / Twitter / G+ / etc social integration since the beginning as a way to spread the app virally by enabling sharing of donation actions (and also possibly to enable "favoriting" of pantries you want to contribute to on a regular basis), but this is another really cool use of location services.
