1 year ago Just going to do in the air. Follow a certain distance or time behind the front aircraft. Once established on final and speed is adjusted or target aircraft has landed we can ignore and continue as normal
On the ground Set the path of the subject aircraft to the target aircraft including the hold short list and assigned runway. We shouldn't copy anything else over on the ground since it should only be used to copy taxi instructions and any applicable hold shorts
In the air We could do something similar where we just copy the pathing but that can get sloppy when dealing with states and other commands. Also at what point does the aircraft stop following. This may have to be looked at in the future and only ground implemented.
