Nearby: Display of all nearby pins makes the app sluggish, leads to crashes #5933

Summary

Display of all images makes the app sluggish, leads to crashes

Steps to reproduce

In the current version, all images ever searched for are displayed. In areas where there are only a few objects, this is okay. In areas with hundreds of images, it takes an unbearably long time until all images are no longer “black”. Sometimes the app even crashes. In my opinion, as in the past, only the objects that are still being searched for should be displayed. Or zoom in more from the start. Another solution for me would be if objects for which there are images were only offered optionally (via “Settings”).

Expected behaviour

Display only the images you are looking for (display all images only as an option.)

Actual behaviour

Displaying all images makes the app sluggish and leads to crashes

I experience this too. We should start Nearby at a higher zoom level (in other words: show a smaller geographical area). People in countryside can then unzoom.
