This plugin should be branded as ModSecurity 2.x only. We know that expirevar doesn't work with libmodsecurity and we will probably put the workaround for ModSecurity 3.x into a separate plugin.

I think that

  1. the plugin name should include the target version, and
  2. the readme should state this

Also 3. Update references/links to plugin (it's linked to at least from the plugin registry, so that will also require updating).
