Finish gamma value automation #212

We're doing two more updates short-term (Cormac is doing freight, and we're doing power together cross-institutionally). This would be great timing to get the gamma value automation over the line, so save ourselves from having to do this manually. The original timeline won't quite work, as we're prioritizing Ian's paper. Do we have a new estimated timeline?
