I would like this issue. -Brian Guilardi
Dr. Pollett, this is Shuang Wu, I am taking #13 "Modify Films tab so now Index" right now. As I discussed with you yesterday after class, issue #13 and this issue #15 are actually equivalent issues. I will need to refactor most of the codes for Event Tab when I am doing #13. So Can I take this one as well (considering also the fact that no body seems to be interested in it)? Then I will do both of #13 and #15 at the same time and also save the need to collaborate with the classmate who takes this issue in the future. Thanks!
sure
Hello Professor Pollet, My group is already working on issue 15. I just wanted to make sure that we would get credits for issue15 that we are currently working on. My teammate Brian already signed us up for issue15.
_ Charmi Shah
Sure.

To Charmi, may I ask when and how did your teammate Brian sign up for issue #15? No offense, but I thought the only way to sign up for an issue is to comment in here. I didn't see your comments before I posted my comments for taking issue #15.
To Dr. Pollett, if Charmi and his team got this problem, there is a big chance that commit of #13 and #15 will conflict (in a big way), how can we solve this problem? If they can submit a pull request soon, maybe I can wait to pull their code to my local repository and then change my code for #15.
Hey, I was actually looking at this only through email and hadn't realized it was the issue that Shuang Wu had claimed above. The only way to say you have an issue is to post to the issue and request it. If you don't post, you don't have the issue. So for now Shuang Wu would have the issue. I think Shuang Wu has two issues, she has one week to work on them. If she is willing, you can collaborate with her on this issue, otherwise pick a different issue and make sure to request it on the issue tracker.
Chris
How do you request an issue on the issue tracker? I was under the impression that the way to request an issue, was to comment, he showed me himself.
You just commented on the issue in the issue tracker by replaying to github mail. However, to make a comment to an issue that you just looked up you have to go to github site.
Chris
Ok, we signed up for this issue last Monday. Do you know Shuang We email, because issue 15 is not easy. I spent a great amount of time on it and learned how it works. I will try to make a fix, but as of now, if our group does not submit a pull request will we lose 3 points? If we solve the issue, and make a pull request can we get 3 points? The next issue could be to glue issue 13 and 15.
Hey Dima,
You didn't sign up last Monday -- the only way to sign up is via the issue itself. I know you showed me something but I didn't recall the issue number and that is not the same thing as make a request on the issue tracker. I am pretty sure Shuang Wu is following this issue so you could probably contact her via this issue. If you have something ready to go, make a patch post it to the issue and let her code review to see how if it conflicts with her stuff. I'll give credit for resolving the conflicts and code review between the two patches as well.
Chris
Hi Shuang Wu, What is your email, would you be willing to work with us on this issue?
My email is:dimabeofek@gmail.com crshah12@gmail.com handyman867@gmail.com
I do not know if you had a chance of looking at issue 15 and how it works but I have looked at it a great deal. The idea is easy, the fix is not terribly difficult, but knowing which way to go can be tricky. If you have questions email me and let me know if you would like to collaborate, then I will give you what I know to save you time.
Let me know.
Hi Charmi and Dima,
To be clear, it is not that I want to grasp this issue so much, it is just that I have also spent a lot of time digging into the codes, trying to solve my issue #13 , and I found that #13 and #15 are actually like two sides of a coin. If they are done by two teams without collaborating, it will be a pain to merge their pull requests. That is why I said I would like to take this issue together with my issue #13 considering no one seemed interested in it (well, at least one day ago).
I will let go of this issue. You can take it if Dr. Pollett says OK. Please let me know what is your basic idea of solving this issue and then I can adjust my codes for #13 accordingly. My email address is shuangwu2011@gmail.com. Thanks!
Shuang
Professor Pollett,
We would like to request this issue, with your consent. Shuang agreed to let us solve the issue. If we request this issue today, do we have a week from today to do it?
Sincerely,
Dima

Progress has been made. The program does display 3 menus in schedule, trying to understand how to override loading cached information into adapter. The problem is that when looking at a date or listing all the films the order of the listed items changes. Working on that.

Hi Charmi and Dima,
To be clear, it is not that I want to grasp this issue so much, it is just that I have also spent a lot of time digging into the codes, trying to solve my issue #15 https://github.com/cpollett/Cinequest-Android/issues/15, and I found that #13 < https://github.com/cpollett/Cinequest-Android/issues/13> and
15 https://github.com/cpollett/Cinequest-Android/issues/15
are actually like two sides of a coin. If they are done by two team without collaborating, it will be a pain to merge their pull request. That is why I said I would like to take this issue together with my issue
13
https://github.com/cpollett/Cinequest-Android/issues/13 considering no one seemed interested in it (well, at least one day a go).
I will let go of this issue. You can take it if Dr. Pollett says OK. Please let me know what is your basic idea of solving this issue and then I can adjust my codes for #13 https://github.com/cpollett/Cinequest-Android/issues/13 accordingly. My email address is shuangwu2011@gmail.com. Thanks!

Good job
The 2014 Events tab used to have chronological list of Cinequest events ordered by date. For 2015 this tab should be relabeled Schedule. Rather than just have Events, it should also have a chronological list of movie times and a list of speaker forums. That is, the also contain the contents that used to be in Films -->Films By Date and the content which used to be in Forums. You should try to match the UI experience of the iOS app as closely as possible. Here is the related iOS issue iOS issue
