500 Internal Server Error #3596

Description

I am trying to upgrade from Craft 2 to Craft 3, but whenever I try to access Craft 3 it'll load first time (without the images because of a 500 internal server error). However, on the second try, the server is unresponsive and the request times out (503).

This is hosted on a web hotel, so I do not have access to any server logs, but I can see that index.php in the Craft 3 folder hangs. I suspect that this has something to do with the image transforms, but I'm not sure.

The images folder is placed in public_html (outside of craft3-folder).

Can you zip up the storage/logs folder and send it over to support@craftcms.com referencing this issue?
