When choosing a fill colour with transparency, the transparency doesn't work

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create a chart and choose a fill colour, and change the alpha slider to 
something less than 1.
2. Play the presentation.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I expect to see the fill colour show the degree of transparency as I had 
chosen.  Instead, the colour does not change and is completely opaque.

Please provide any additional information below.

Comparison showing that you end up with the same fill colour in your chart 
regardless of whether you add transparency with the alpha slider or not:
