Information management is the greatest challenge that's faced by anyone and everyone regardless of age, ethnicity, geographical location, background, etc. In the context of this project, we have lots of content across deployed applications that are the same. For example:
Static assets (images and fonts)
Mission statement(s)
Event titles, descriptions, locations, dates, collaborators, sign-up links, etc.
Social Media links
Sponsor links and logos (past and present)
This problem is similar to one we've already faced, which was deciding how things should look (color, typography, layout, etc.) and how that should be unified. This problem has been solved by our Design System. It ensures everything looks the same across all apps and stay in sync.
But how do we solve the problem of what they should say? How do we ensure all information across all apps stay in sync?
Enter Content Management Systems. They're the the Design System equivalents for content, and are abbreviated as CMS.
