Gloss animation's aren't working.

Describe the bug Animations don't seem to work when you try and put a function either on a board or a hologram.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behaviour:

1. Create or use one of the default animations like count or alpha-random
2. Place it either on a hologram or a board like |animation.count|

Expected behaviour I expected it to behaviour like animations should do. Using the default count function, I expected it to change through every frame.
