crash on start phpdesktop from task scheduler #337

At the end there is this log message that doesn't tell much:

[216868:213964:1113/122647.490:FATAL:check.cc(361)] Check failed: false. NOTREACHED log messages are omitted in official builds. Sorry!

Are you using default settings?

Looks like a Debug build of app would be required to dig into this. Are you able to build it from sources with Debug configuration?

There is also this log message:

WARNING:external_registry_loader_win.cc(232)] Error observing HKLM: 5

Google suggests it may be issue with permissions: https://www.google.com/search?q=WARNING%3Aexternal_registry_loader_win.cc()%5D+Error+observing+HKLM%3A+5

What account are you launching it with and does it have right permissions?

"I downloaded the latest version 130.1 and used it without making any changes. The error occurs when I try to run the program using Windows 10's Task Scheduler. However, the older version 57 runs without any issues."

Can you test with CEF sample application cefclient? Download from: https://cef-builds.spotifycdn.com/cef_binary_130.1.16%2Bg5a7e5ed%2Bchromium-130.0.6723.117_windows64_client.tar.bz2

cefclient was not executed with task scheduler either. I sent the log file debug.log

Then it's an issue with upstream CEF library that we embed.

Go to CEF support forum and ask for solution why running cefclient app doesn't work with Task Scheduler. See https://www.magpcss.org/ceforum/viewforum.php?f=6
