I think either would be a good choice, and I agree with your stance in the middle between strong copyleft and letting anyone do what they want. I think I prefer the slightly weaker Mozilla license as it may encourage more use.
Cool, lets adopt for the mozilla public license 2.0 for all our repositories?

Step one here is to agree on what our aims for this project is.
I have used the choosealicense.com to see the differences between open source licenses. Personally, I think a strong copyleft license is a bit extreme, but I do think that if a company does take our code and improve it slightly, that source should be available. For this either of the following licenses are suitable:
