Sorry for the confusion, this is intentional and this field actually helps to indicate some legacy devices from new gen DAKboard OS devices.
@cocarrig - Thanks! Perhaps a tool-tip or an FAQ on your site somewhere would be great for others, I thought there was a possible issue with my system.

This field might be removed from view, or recycled for some future functionality. In either route that should reduce the confusion, apologies in the meantime.
Have a new DAKboard shipped CPUv4 with the supplied SD card and pre-installed OS etc, I would have expected Device Type to show "CPUv4" and not "Customer Device".
