After some preliminary analysis to reproduce this issue, it was found the MS API returns these "orphaned" tasks when requesting all tasks from them. There is no indicator in their metadata to denote whether they have been orphaned, deleted, or have a parent. That means we are unable to suppress them from being included in the lists.
It appears there may be a way to find and permanently remove (or move) these orphaned items using a Desktop Application for MS Outlook (not the Website for MS Outlook), or it is possible they may be auto-purged around 30-days after their parent folder has been deleted. We have some tasks that have been orphaned and will review them after it has been 30-days to see if this turns out to be the case.
In the meantime, we are also putting some other options on the table for changing the way in which we query for All Folders, and will update the status of this Issue should we decide to pursue that avenue.
It was discovered that when you delete a List from your Microsoft account, you can still see all items from that list on DAKboard if you select All Folders. In my example below, Test List 5 contained two tasks, called Task List 5 Test and Task List 5 test v2:
I completed one of the tasks and left the other one uncompleted to see if they would both show after I deleted Test List 5. When I try to select a specific list, Test List 5 is no longer available:
